| 1:36 pm | Clean,clean, clean. So, tried to vaccuum my room with the hoover the halls provide down stairs and - wow, seriously, oldest vaccuum ever. Old, cranky vaccuum that chooses when it wants to work and decides to fall apart every few seconds. Thanks, university. I hope I will be able to go to the pub tonight with a girl in my halls, I actually found a girl who prefers quiet pubs to clubbing, thank god. I've been feeling down the last couple of days and I could use a night out, I really could. We have been given all our recommended reading lists for the modules we're doing and there are so many books I would love to own but, damn, do I seriously not have the money to buy them all. It's frustrating, it really is. Luckily, my boyfriend Pete is going to be extra kind and buy me George Orwell's Homage to Catalonia. Bless him. In other news - Mandarin Chinese isn't easy, who knew? And little fic, woo! Title: Only For Now. Fandom: Monkey Island. Characters: Elaine Marley-Threepwood, Largo LaGrande. Rating: PG. Summary: A small scene in which Elaine and Largo LaGrande argue as they are forced together to save Guybrush Threepwood, although their intentions are very different. Notes: This was a weird one to write, I allowed people to pick Monkey Island characters for me to write and someone picked Elaine and Largo, who are a combination I probably wouldn't have written otherwise.
